Police corruption and misconduct

We are CorruptPolice.co.uk. The aim of our website is to help protect ordinary people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied by police forces and constabularies within the United Kingdom.

Police corruption and misconduct in Britain corrodes the very fabric of society since it undermines people’s trust in the judicial and political systems, institutions and leaders and can cost citizens their freedom, health, wealth – and sometimes their lives.

Police misconduct is behaviour, on the part of a police officer, which is so bad that it destroys the police force or constabulary (as the employer) and police officer (as the employee) relationship and merits instant dismissal without notice or pay in lieu of notice, or in very serious cases, imprisonment.

Police corruption is a form of police misconduct in which police officers break their social contract and abuse their power for personal gain or for a gain of the police force or constabulary they are employed by. This form of corruption can entail only one police officer or it could involve a coterie of police officers in a coordinated bid.

Police corruption can take many forms and are challenges to public trust, human rights and unlawful actions involving serious consequences.

We expose these abuses by collecting stories and reports from around the country to educate and mobilise people, in the hope of transforming society to create a safer, more just country that is free from the influence of corrupt police officers through transparency and shedding light on the persecution of ordinary people, weak enforcement of laws and other illicit practices that undermine good law enforcement practices and society at large in the United Kingdom.

Ultimately, CorruptPolice.co.uk want to give a voice to ordinary people, including victims and witnesses, and demand a country that is free of police corruption and unjustified interference.
